Custom Commissions

As you’ve probably read elsewhere on my site custom commissions for wedding and engagement is my speciality but I do all sorts of custom work for gift or personal collections also. Tie clips, pendants, bridal jewellery, necklaces, earrings, lapel pins, brooches, mens rings… pretty much anything you can think, but I love getting requests for something new and different that I haven’t done before.

Replacing Diamonds / Gems

The worst has happened, you’ve lost the diamond from your engagement ring. Fear not, it can be fixed. I can source all shapes and sizes of diamond and gemstone to find the perfect replacement for you. It doesn’t even need to be the same type or quality. I have often sourced most cost effective diamonds that may be a lower quality but the same size as the lost stone and still look great while not hurting your pocket as much as replacing like for like.

Cleaning / Re-plating

Everything needs a good clean and rejuvenation once in a while, especially jewellery that you may be wearing constantly and will be exposed to dirt, creams and gels that might get lodged in the pieces. Or, perfumes, chlorine and other gaseous or acidic substances can cause jewellery to discolour. I can restore your piece to its original glory.

Re-sizing

Make sure you can always wear your favourite pieces and keep the sizing current so they fit like a glove. I can size up and down. Some rings that contain gemstones may need extra care during the sizing process and this will be discussed in full with the client.

Remodelling / Recycling

Often I have clients who have an old ring or earrings that they want to update or change. Perhaps the piece is a bit dated or a fresh look is desired. A remodel can use existing elements of the piece or start from new just utilising the metal or the stones from the original to retain the sentimentality it may carry.
